December 10th, 2009: Christmasparty Klasse Kartak & TT Brut Bar
Every year before Christmas there is a little party in my class at the Angewandte. An exhibition is prepared with the stuff people made outside of school – usually.
Each year it’s a little different. This time for example almost nobody showed anything. Bernhard however organized a concert and so a swedish...
December 6th, 2009.
How could you not love Vienna (and the cynic that she is)?
December 5th, 2009: Naschmarkt Fleamarket
Don’t think people only go there to buy used stuff from other people, who are not necessarily the rightful owners of what they sell. There’s something there for everyone. You’ll find things there. Friends and happiness. Tragedy. Or the bike that was stolen from you last weekend. I’m not good at finding clothes there. But...

Picking up my mother from the trainstation.
December 2nd, 2009.
Family going out to get something to eat. Ended up at the Naschmarkt, where I got a much to huge plate of Iskender Kebab. Felt terrible afterwards. No guilty conscience. Rather fucked up stomach.
Gonna do it again though.
November 29th, 2009.
I went out for a walk today. It was just too sunny to stay inside. I was headed for Castle Schönbrunn, where I was meeting Kata, Ana and Milica from Serbia and we did some sightseeing, something I haven’t been doing for a while. At least not at the place I call home.
December 2nd, 2009: Bathroom.
Antaeus opened his new shop in our bathroom today. And he will be styling your hair too, if you pay us a visit. His skills go far beyond the “high-and-tight” of mine.
You might want to check it out. Call us. You got our number.
November 30th, 2009:
It is 3:20 am and Antaeus and I are still wide awake. This is because we drank pure energy. It feels good. But it makes the eyes burn.
December 1st, 2009: Home.
Antaeus told me my haircut was a “high and tight” and that he could have done the same for a lot less - moneywise.
November 29th, 2009: Naschmarktfleamarket with Kata & Ana
When Ana from Belgrade came to visit Kata from my class, we went to the Naschmarktfleamarket to do some secondhand shopping. Me, I don’t think I have an eye for finding nice pieces at places like that. But Ana was all up for it. She dragged this huge winter jacket out of a pile of other stuff. It was at least two sizes big....
November 2009: Slivovice party of five.
When Zaneta came to visit us at her old home here in Vienna, she brought her famous self-made slivovice. This stuff will make you go all night long and it comes in neat 0,5L unlabled plastic coke bottles.
Nov. 16th, 2009: Grizzly Bear live / WUK.
Highlight of the Grizzly Bear concert: Christoph getting affectionate.
Lovely.
Oct. 30th, 2009: Halloween feat. Tingel Tangel / Expedit Keller.
I am not a big fan of any social event that involves costumes or meant-to-be-funny mottoes. But Tingel Tangel makes you forget all that.
Nov. 22nd, 2009: Home.
This is home. Antaeus had some exciting first few weeks with us.
Nov. 11th, 2009: Zelle Book presentation / Architekturzentrum Wien.
A couple of friends organized an art project in 2008 where they gave young artists the possibility to each occupy one room in an empty three-story building. This November they presented the book about the project.

Enjoy Vienna (as long as it lasts).
It is Dec. 3rd 2009 and I’m working on my final thesis of my graphic design studies here in Vienna. After more than five years in this city I have to say, I am more than ready for a change of location. And for everything will hopefully be working out as planned, I shall leave this place in a couple of months.
Sometimes it feels like this city has nothing new for me anymore. This is supposed...
